Great Progression

There are some things to consider when dealing
with a good roulette system.
The house pays less than the odds of any
location showing - which means that without
a progression, you cannot flat bet and win over
the long term.

This leads us to progressions, and there are all kinds.
The latest I've been working with is a cancellation
progression on the inside bets that I came
up with myself - but I'm not going into
that on this page.

This progression below will show you how good a
progression "can" work, if applied in certain ways.

So, let's also look at another fault with most
progressions.
(and this is a big fault)
Using the progression in order to profit or break
even on a win.
This is problem #1 with any progression and almost
no one mentions it.
More common is a progression where the drawdown
is recovered on the next win (if it even happens)
and maybe you also get a little profit to spare as well.
These do not work - Not a single one.
So long as the house has the mathematical advantage,
you cannot increase bets and expect to not hit that
"run from hell" which deletes your bankroll.
Common progressions do 1 thing and 1 thing only -
They magnify the loss.
You can feel free to test this to no end and report back
with your findings.
If a system loses flat betting, it will lose "X" amount
more and "X" amount faster each time you increase
the betting amount.

==========================

Now, with that out of the way - let's look at a progression
which aims to break even or profit (eventually) without
any need for drastic increases in the bet amount.
I will also tell you that this progression will not recover
the total lost on a long losing session.
Since we know this is a dead-end road, it only makes
sense to look for ways to "take the hit", make it as minor
a hit as possible - and then recover with future spins
back to where we were and beyond.

===================================

This is important !!!!!!!!!!!

For any method / system - and anyone serious about
playing roulette - you need to know your balance at all
times.
Is this easy ? No, it can be a challenge.
But unless you are willing to play with no real care
about how you're doing - then you need to know exactly
what the value is on the table in front of you.
I've said it before on the forums and again here -
I keep my chips in orderly stacks, by denomination -
and at any time I can literally glance down and know within
a few seconds, exactly what I have on the table.
This is important - but look around next time you
are at the table.
90% of the players will have their chips in a mess
on the table, or in random stacks - and trust me,
they have no clue what they even have on the table.
When they win, they slide the winnings in with the
rest of their chips and play on...oblivious.

It only takes 5-10 seconds to arrange your payout chips
with the others and know right at that moment exactly
what you have.

Keeping it on paper is fine - but you certainly don't
want to waste time doing the math on paper for your
various location wins, and then at the same time plan
out your next bet before "no more bets" is called.

=================================

If you have never paid attention to this, simply grab
a handful of coin change and do it that way at home.
You'll see how easy it is to know your balance at
just a quick look.

=================================

So I went over some basic things that are needed to
make this progression work the best - and now
how it's done.

Work your way through the numbers, starting at 0 and heading
to number 36.

Place 1 unit on #0 to begin and simply play it until the bet wins.

The progression is very simple, but requires that you know your
balance.

**If - after a win - your balance decreased...
Add 1 unit to any number being played, and add 1 new number
at 1 unit.
(so yes, for example you are playing 4 numbers - then you will have
1# @ 4 units, 1# @ 3 units, 1# @ 2 units and 1# @ 1 unit.)

**If - after a win - your balance increases...
Simply subtract the highest bet number off of the play list.
For example, you are playing these numbers and unit sizes :
#      Units
0      4
1      3
2      2
3      1
You began with a balance of 100.00 (from the last win) and you
just hit #2 and your balance is now 110.00
Remove the #0 bet (with the most, 4 units on it) from the next session.

**If - you won and you were only playing 1 number ? Then you simply
remove that bet and move to the next number in line.
This more or less means that each number is set up to make it's own
profit on a win.

It also means that you can avoid playing a number that may end up
sleeping or not showing for 100+ (example) spins because the highest
bet number is removed, regardless of what number actually won.

So.... the amount of numbers being played increases and decreases -
most of the time it will be 3 or less numbers. You will however have times
when alot of numbers are being played and this can be a real issue at
a table.
